Dr. Arvind Karwan is a licensed psychologist in the Northern Colorado area. He received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University’s APA-approved program. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Karwan has provided services to individuals and families in a variety of settings, including college and community counseling centers, juvenile detention centers, and residential treatment centers. He was awarded the 2010 United Way of Larimer County Volunteer Excellence Award for his volunteer work with the youth program at Crossroads Safehouse of Fort Collins.
Dr. Karwan’s approach to therapy incorporates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal process therapy (IPT), and, above all else, a supportive, collaborative relationship with the client. He has helped many individuals and families facing many different life challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, sexual behavior problems (including youth who have sexually offended), drug and alcohol issues, phase of life difficulties, relationship issues, youth conduct issues, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
On a personal note, Dr. Karwan grew up and spent most of his life in Colorado (though he still can’t stand the cold). When he isn’t in the therapy room, he can be found playing his guitar, training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, frequenting the pizza joints around town (current favorite: Panino’s), and spending time with loved ones.
Dr. Karwan understands the importance of a “good fit” between the therapist and client in the therapeutic process. To judge this for yourself, simply fill out the form below for a FREE no-risk 30-minute consultation session.
